Graduated from the Art School in California in 1990, Frédérique Barraja began her career as a photographer in the music industry. In 1995, she worked as a still photographer for Luc Besson’s film The Fifth Element. Frédérique has been a steadfast presence in the world of cinema, and is widely acclaimed for her still photographs taken on the sets of around thirty films. This is what lead her to direct her first documentary for Canal+ in 2014, Les Branleuses!. She also works in advertising. Hurry up is her first short film.
