Jacqueline Castel is an internationally award-winning director, screenwriter, and curator, who weaves occultism, surrealism, erotica, and genre cinema into her storytelling. She has written for and directed cult authors John Carpenter and Jim Jarmusch, and collaborated with David Lynch for his Festival of Disruption in 2018. In 2012, Castel's short film Twelve Dark Noons premiered at South by Southwest. In 2016, her short film The Puppet Man world-premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She is currently in pre-production for her feature debut My Animal, shooting in February.
