Hanxiong Bo, born in Beijing, he received his bachelor's degree from Communication University of China and School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and his graduated with a master's degree in Directing at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His latest short film "Drifting" premiered at the 67th San Sebastian International Film Festival and won the Best International Short Film Award at the 2020 Reykjavik International Film Festival in Iceland、and won the best student short film of Golden KOJIKA Award at the Nara International Film Festival in Japan. Prior to this, "Drifting" has also been shortlisted for the semi-finals of the student Oscars, the CAA Mobis exhibition held by the agency CAA, The Shortlist film festival held by the film media THE WRAP, and has been nominated for more than fifty international film festivals in the world. His last short film "Haircut" was also nominated for film festivals around the world, including the Oscar-qualified Los Angeles Asia Pacific Film Festival and the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival etc. Most of his stories that he wrote and directed are based on human emotions, hoping to use the movie language to reflect the ordinary people’s fear and struggle in their life.
