I was born and raised in Costa Rica and obtained an MFA in Film Production at Florida State University where I attended as a Fulbright International Fellow. My filmography as a Writer / Director includes award winning short films, feature documentaries, and my debut narrative feature, JANUARY 1ST, was licensed by HBO in 2016. My work has screened theatrically in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic as well as in international film festivals that include the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival, Urbanworld, the Hollywood Film Festival and the Curaçao International Film Festival - Rotterdam. In 2019 I was also selected for Ryan Murphy’s HALF INITIATIVE directing program. As a screenwriter, I’ve developed projects for Warner Bros Television and more recently for Netflix. In 2021 I served as a visiting professor for the Advanced Filmmaking course at Florida State University and more recently, at New Mexico State University. I’m represented by Zero Gravity Management.
